About Us

I, Charlotte Thérése Bérénos, am the founder of Nordic Sanctuary – a Norwegian beauty platform and distributor introducing Scandinavian vegan beauty and skincare brands to the Norwegian market through retail, hotel and spa partners, as well as our online store.

With Danish and South American roots and having grown up in the Caribbean, I have always felt a strong connection to wellness, nature and entrepreneurship. My entrepreneurial dream started early – as a child I planned to open a small egg restaurant in my parents’ garage on Bonaire. The passion for creating something of my own has followed me throughout my life.

In 1997 I moved to Norway, and in 2000 I completed my CIDESCO skincare education at the French Cosmetology School in Bygdøy Allé in Oslo. Later, I furthered my education in marketing management and as a mindfulness practitioner.

I founded Nordic Sanctuary to create a gathering place that puts holistic beauty first. To me, beauty is about more than products – it is about the whole picture: what we apply to our skin, what we nourish our bodies with, and how we create balance in our everyday lives. At Nordic Sanctuary, everyone should feel confident that the products we offer are chosen with care and benefit both the skin and overall well-being.

For this reason, I collaborate only with selective and carefully chosen brands that share this holistic approach to wellness.

Nordic Sanctuary was not created to become the biggest, but to be as valuable as possible for the brands we represent. We aim to truly know each brand, understand their philosophy and build genuine partnerships. This allows us to represent them with care, knowledge and dedication, so that we can offer the best products to both our consumers and partners.
